18 year old Colin Lendewig has been arrested and charged with cruelty to animals and petty theft and people in Orangevale, California are worried about their safety after an accused cat killer was released on a $ 25,000 bond  earlier this week. 

This all started back in September when the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 9400 block of Deanna Avenue for a report of two cats being stolen. The caller said she had video evidence of an unknown person entering her property on two separate occasions.

The sorry case off a man is seen harming one of the cats the first time, and a second time he was seen stealing another cat. One was never returned, and the other was found dead nearby.

Doubtful this is an isolated incident for this alleged killer of cats since many animals in the area have be killed and harmed we just didn’t have a body to do a necropsy and now we do. The community has hired a private investigator out of pocket to further look into the dozens of other missing and dead animals  

Our community needs your help to continue to put this case at the forefront and give this alleged  cat killer the maximum sentence when found guilty.

*House arrest and ankle bracelet while out on bond  this alleged killer wandered the streets at night stalking innocent animals at 1:10am in the morning. Please  for the safety of the community he needs to be placed on house arrest at the very least while out on bond. 

*Sign this in support that this alleged killer gets the maximum punishment and help us change the law for stiffer penalties.  A 3 year maximum is not enough!! These were living, breathing, pets that belonged to a lovely elderly couple who had them for 16 years  and who are devastated by this tragedy at the literal hands of a killer who shows no remorse or empathy.

Sign this in support that the alleged cat killer be given the maximum time under a Felony  count(s) when found guilty.  if he is given a misdemeanor count he will have the ability to remove this from from his record  and given the opportunity to purchase fire arms  He already has a juvenile record.

*Sign this supporting justice be served it will be given to decision makers in support of changing the law for stricter and harsher sentences  we hope to create Violet and Rose’s law. They were sisters to the end. 

It’s time  for change and your signature is needed.  Which brings me to my subject sentence. Yes, it’s true serial killers, school shooters, violence towards children, sadistic killers, and even many Domestic violence’s all have one thing in common and that is, most perpetrators all harmed  animals before progressing to people.  

Even the FBI recognizes that animal cruelty leads to more violence that is why anyone charged with animal cruelty is placed on a FBI watch list. 

The National Sheriffs’ Association’s John Thompson urged people to shed the mindset that animal cruelty is a crime only against animals. “It’s a crime against society,” he said, urging all law enforcement agencies to participate in NIBRS. “By paying attention to [these crimes], we are benefiting all of society.”
