Justice for Palestine: A Call for UN Condemnation and Sanctions Against Israel
The Issue
ONE WORLD, ONE VOICE.
We call upon the United Nations!
- To condemn Israel's crimes.
- To oppose the massacre of the Palestinian people.
- To halt the extraordinary humanitarian suffering.
- To establish and demand accountability from Israel.
- To ensure respect for international humanitarian law.
- To impose sanction against Israel and the countries that support its actions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is imperative that we mobilize our collective strength and call on the United Nations to condemn Israel for its continuous violations of human rights. The international community must declare in one voice that these actions are unacceptable and a grave affront to humanity.
Furthermore, we must demand sanctions against Israel and the countries that support its actions. These sanctions should serve as a powerful reminder that the world will not tolerate oppression and occupation. We must call on the UN to take concrete steps to pressure Israel into ending its illegal occupation, dismantling settlements, and respecting the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people.
This petition is not just a call for change; it is a plea for humanity. It is an assertion that the world cannot stand by while injustice and violence continue to ravage the lives of innocent Palestinians. We must be the catalyst for peace, the voice for the voiceless, and the beacon of hope for a just and lasting solution.
By signing this petition, you are standing on the right side of history, advocating for the values of justice, human rights, and peace. Let us come together and urge the United Nations to condemn Israel for its violations and impose sanctions to bring an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people. Our collective voice is a powerful force for change, and together, we can make a difference! Join us in our quest for a brighter, more just future for Palestine.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the 2023 Israeli invasion, more than 3,000 Palestinian civilians have lost their lives, including 1,000 children, and countless others have been wounded, with approximately half of the casualties being women and children. These casualties were the direct result of airstrikes that targeted their homes. Israel has left no Palestinian family untouched in Gaza. Those who survived are left injured, and those who were fortunate not to be wounded had to flee their homes. Tragically, even those who sought refuge in places like the Al-Ahli Hospital were not spared from the violence.
According to the United Nations, Palestinian families in Gaza were bombed by Israel while in their own homes or seeking safe shelter. Along the shattered streets, following Israeli orders to evacuate, hundreds of thousands of people tried to find safety but found nowhere to go. Israel has employed collective punishment, a clear violation of international law, by intentionally cutting off supplies of fuel, water, and electricity to Gaza and obstructing humanitarian aid from entering. The once-thriving living environment has been utterly devastated. Homes, schools, UN facilities, and healthcare centers have been struck by intense and direct Israeli airstrikes. Humanitarian workers have become targets, and many have lost their lives. Rescue teams struggle to carry out their missions amidst constant airstrikes, inadequate supplies, and limited cellular connectivity. There is no electricity, no water, no fuel, dwindling food supplies, hospitals overwhelmed by patients, and the wounded are running out of medical supplies. Morgue facilities are overwhelmed, and mass burials have become a grim necessity.
Israel has ordered the evacuation of 22 hospitals in Gaza, a move deemed by the WHO as a death sentence for the sick and injured, including newborns in incubators. Two million Palestinians reside in Gaza, and nearly half of them are children. However, Israel's use of explosives seems to ignore the presence of any civilian population, as if everyone in Gaza deserves to be killed. The mass killing of civilians and the scale of destruction indicate nothing but indiscriminate attacks on civilian populations. What is this if not a barbaric and brutal act? Washing hands of Israel's crimes by proclaiming that Israel bears no responsibility for the killing of Palestinian civilians is inhumane and irresponsible. This undermines the most fundamental principles of our international legal order.
Those who commit the killings are responsible for them!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We call upon the United Nations to condemn Israel's crimes, to oppose the massacre of the Palestinian people, to halt the extraordinary humanitarian suffering, to establish and demand accountability from Israel, and to ensure respect for international humanitarian law. There is only one thing that deserves the unwavering support of the UN, and that is justice.
