Justice for our decorated Indian ex-navy officers in Qatar

Justice for our decorated Indian ex-navy officers in Qatar
The Issue
8 ex-Indian Navy officers with brilliant credentials have been sentenced to death by the court of First Instance in Qatar. The families are in shock due to this decision.
This judgement made on 26 October 2023 has come as a shock to India as the entire matter has been under a shroud of secrecy since August 2022.
One of the arrested ex-navy officers, Purnendu Tiwari, had received the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award, India's highest honor for overseas Indians. The Indian government recommended him for this honor. He is the first Armed Forces Official in India to be conferred the highest honor meant for NRIs/PIOs.
We urge the Government of India to intervene at the highest level and secure their release and repatriation to India.
We also call upon International Human Rights organizations, United Nations, and citizens worldwide to raise their voices against this injustice and appeal to Qatar for their immediate release.
This petition aims to bring attention to this grave issue and seeks justice for these individuals who have served their country honorably.
Please sign this petition and support our cause for justice, fairness, and respect for human rights.
