I'm Ashlyn and I'm a firsthand victim of the fraud & corruption brewing in Mifflin County, PA.

My daughter is Nyxie, she just turned 3 in July. I was restricted from seeing her (not even a phone call!) this year AND last on every holiday and now 2 birthdays. For the 6 months I sat in prison, I was told by the first caseworker, Laura Lefcoski, that I could call my daughter.  I tried to call her. They never answered. A few weeks later I received a cease & desist order saying not to call. How ILLEGAL is that? Aaron Gingrich has manipulated my case for the best interest of Mifflin County CYS. Children and Youth Services Agency has been holding her hostage since May 6th, 2025. Nyxie desperately wants -and needs- to come come to Mom. She's terrified where she is - she begs me to take her home from visits. Nyxie insists I save her from the Bad People. NOT ONE PERSON BUT ME has the true best interests of MY child in mind. They are wearing her out and burning her down so hard. She's only 3 and she's exhausted. My daughter dissociates from reality when we are forced to part ways. CYS tried to say she was having seizures & went as far as to try and get her on seizure meds! SHE HAS TRAUMA CAUSED BY YOU PEOPLE! WOW you think you get to create a "cure" for the disease you've CAUSED. No, it's not working that way with my baby girl. She will come HOME and heal from this nightmare properly with ME.

SO going back - in September of 2024, Nyxie's father's ex-wife decided to threaten to kill me, grab me by my throat and try to choke me all while demanding I give my baby to her; that I'm not leaving (the dad's property) with the baby. She was belligerent - as she grabbed me by my throat, all I could smell was alcohol & cigarettes.  after this tussle, and the witnesses got the ex-wife off of me, I was able to leave safely with my daughter - as I had her buckled in her car seat & safely locked in my car before and during the attack. I neutralized the situation because there were at least 3 other kids present and 2 adult witnesses I named who the police failed to add to the report. (Do you feel good about yourselves, Bruce & Mandy?) Once I left, they all agreed to manipulate the details of what just transpired. And I know they did because 1.5 months later I received a paper in the mail with criminal charges! I got an assault charge and trespassing. How disgusting to charge someone with trespass that's actively leaving an abusive situation? I called 911 ONLY for the safety of my daughter yet PSP failed to even mention my daughter in the report. LET ALONE the attempted kidnapping! Well, turns out that officer I spoke with is friends with the woman and/or her boyfriend - he made a comment like "oh she's with old Danny ---" So I got this bogus charge that was dropped. But since I was on state parole... police contact.. and staying at an 'unauthorized residence' (child's father's home) was enough to detain me pending resolution of charges. And the assault was dropped. BUT parole kept me on the technical violations anyway. 6 months, predetermined. 

During the 6 months at Muncy, I was in contact with the court and CYS. Judge Aaron Gingrich assured me that Nyxie will be returned upon my release. He said it to my face & with people present. Aaron Gingrich LIED to me. HE knows the situation and knows my parenting was not in question! I NEVER  "abused/neglected" Nyxie. He allowed Mifflin County CYS to continue to hold my daughter hostage and gain federal funding for her being in placement. 

How do I know? Because they make her sound like an invalid on paper. She needs physical therapy, speech therapy, play therapy! When truthfully she just needs to come home and be with her Mama. They have my 3 year old waking up at 5am with a schedule that looks like it's for college. It's abhorrent. It's disgusting to see my child be treated like a slave. I'm going above and beyond for her. 

I'm moving mountains for Nyxie. Ya know how you move mountains?

CYS claims I have substance abuse issues, which is furthest from the truth. I've not touched a thing but weed since before Nyxie was born. I can prove this with a plethora of negative drug tests from various agencies & doctors. I have a letter from my former State Parole officer stating i passed every drug test administered by them. I'm willing to test daily to prove my innocence. CYS has perjured themselves in court documents already by stating I failed a drug test for buprenorphine. I certainly did not. I found the lab results and compared it to the statement made. Nothing has been done about it. YET. And that, my dear, is Felony. Chelsey (CYS caseworker: former county probation officer) has since then alleged that I failed 2 tests for cocaine. I absolutely did not, so the following day (5.1.26) I went to Juniata Valley Occupational Health for independent testing. I had to provide my SS# and driver's license. It was quite professional and unbiased. I paid for a hair follicle test, which is much more accurate & can detect further back in time. My results matched my statement that I did not consume cocaine at any point within the window a hair follicle test shows, which includes the 2 dates in which Chelsey alleges I failed. and I proclaim I've not since before Nyxie was born. 

CHELSEY BERICH: CYS caseworker, former probation officer. sent me to prison👍🏼 vindictive. malicious intent. definitely uses IIED, for f#k sake, she was my probation officer. i was double jeopardy'd on a misdemeanors charge. a no accident, no injury DUI. i literally was crying out for help and she decided to send me to prison instead of sending my first daughter and I to a REAL mommy & me place. not the torture castle at GAUDENZIA Fountain Springs. oh yeah, conflict of interest.

MAKAYLA EBERSOLE: Clarvida caseworker. ignorant follower (flying monkey) parental alienator. groomer. uses IIED and DARVO tactics.

JUDGE GINGRICH: bias af. lies. pictures with foster family that include MY daughter! grants bullshit custody orders. allows CYS & Clarvida workers the notion they have immunity from legal recourse when they blatantly violate my (anyone's) constitutional rights.

JACOB DIVINEY: Real estate attorney. bald. needs a smaller suit. CYS' current "lawyer". Says "it was probably someone else's hair" re: my hair follicle test.

JUSTIN MILLER: GAL. bias. conflict of interest. paid by CYS. has been present in our home & observed Nyxie's desire to be AT home in a very nurturing & immersive environment with her Mama & Uncle Bub. in person, he advised me I had his vote for Nyxie to return home to me. By the time court rolled around, he seemingly changed his mind 💰 

I can tell you I'm doing everything in my power to get justice for Nyxie and myself. Every single day I'm calling someone or writing someone.

Court is set for October 7th now - I've filed a motion to expedite. We're already in month 21 - IT'S TIME FOR NYXIE TO COME HOME✨

I WAS GRANTED AN EXPEDITED REVIEW ON SEPTEMBER 28TH, JUST TO BE HIT WITH THE 6TH CONTINUANCE ON MY CASE THIS YEAR BY CYS ATTORNEY FOR HIS PREPAID VACATION! 100% UNJUSTIFIED CONTINUANCE. PREJUDICE AGAINST MY DAUGHTER & MYSELF. 

they think because I'm Pro Se that they can take advantage of me. All 3 lawyers I've had on this case have sabotaged it in their own way. Keep going - Everything is documented and if Nyxie doesn't come home Oct 7th, be prepared. Because it's onto the next level. CYS has nothing on me and they just keep giving me more time to uncover more fraud, corruption, connections, etc. I've already began preparation for higher courts.

 

Statistics and testimonies from other affected families reveal that our case is not an isolated one. The families in Mifflin County are subject to a system that prioritizes financial gain over the welfare and reunification of children and their parents. Investigative reports and public records demand scrutiny and a call for transparency and accountability.

To address this widespread issue, we must advocate for a complete overhaul of Mifflin County CYS. This involves reallocating funds, enforcing clear and transparent guidelines, and implementing third-party oversight to ensure children and parents are treated with dignity and respect. Those involved in unethical practices should be held accountable to prevent future occurrences of such corruption and fraud. Our Constitutional Rights will not be hung out to dry.
