I am finally back at work after a long 2 months, and I just want to give the community an update.
We’ve been quiet, but please know—we are still fighting.
Since the assault on February 6th, My’Asia’s life has changed in ways no child should ever have to experience. Yet through it all, she continues to rise with strength, resilience, and grace.
She is continuing her healing journey through therapy, and for the remainder of her senior year, she is still being homeschooled so she can focus on her peace, her strength, and her future.
Even in the midst of everything, God continues to make a way—My’Asia was recently blessed with a car, and now she’s taking another step forward by actively looking for a job. I am so proud of my baby. Watching her keep pushing, keep growing, and not give up despite everything she’s faced means more than words can express.
As her mother, I want to be clear: I am still speaking out, still advocating, and still fighting for my daughter every single day—even when it’s not posted on social media. This journey has not been easy, and it is far from over.
With May approaching, prom season is here—and it breaks my heart knowing my daughter won’t get to experience it because of what happened on February 6th. Her senior year was taken from her, something we can never replace.
Still, My’Asia is pressing forward—planning for her future with college tours, applications, and building a life beyond this moment.
But we cannot do this alone.
