On 15 January, a joint delegation of Odisha Chhatra Sangathan and Odisha Loka Dala held a meeting with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha regarding the suspicious deaths of students in private educational institutions and the growing demand for justice.
During the meeting, the delegation strongly reiterated the demand for a CBI investigation into the deaths of Satya Sarathi Das and Mrutyunjay Bedanta, along with other similar cases reported across the state. The representatives highlighted the serious concerns of students, parents, and the general public over repeated incidents being hastily labeled as suicides without transparent investigation.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, assured the delegation that the matter would be seriously examined and stated that an appropriate decision would be taken within one week to resolve the issue. The assurance has raised hope among students and families awaiting justice.
Odisha Chhatra Sangathan and Odisha Loka Dala reaffirmed that they will continue their democratic movement until a fair, impartial, and independent investigation is ensured and justice is delivered.
