For over 20 years, 81 -year-old Mr. Steve lived peacefully in his own Douglas County, GA home. That ended on July 10, 2025. In a shocking act of probate court overreach and retaliation, Probate Judge Valerie V. Vie and the court-appointed conservator Elizabeth Williams Winfield utilized seven (7) Douglas County Sheriffs to forcibly remove this elderly homeowner from his property. Mr. Steve was transported to a privately owned rooming house in Griffin, GA, where he has been held against his will ever since. 

With Mr. Steve isolated and locked away, a predatory foreclosure was executed two (2) months later on October 7, 2025, by Nationstar Mortgage (d/b/a Mr. Cooper) and their legal counsel, McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC under the umbrella of US National Bank Associations as Trustee. The bank falsely labeled the property as "vacant with no occupants"--completely ignoring that Mr. Steve's lawful occupants and named beneficiary remains in legal possession of the property under a 5 -year-recorded lease.  Most shockingly, the foreclosing parties revealed prior to the foreclosure they lost 18.5 years of Mr. Steve's payment history, yet they foreclosed anyway.   

On May 13, 2026, we won a massive victory when the bank's illegal eviction lawsuit against the lawful occupants was DISMISSED in court because the bank legal counsel failed to appear.  Despite this, the lawless harassment continues. On May 26, 2026, 7-months after no longer having any legal authority an associate of the conservator law firm Simmons Finney & Winfield weaponized 911 dispatch, falsely claiming the lawful occupants was trespassing. This is a severe, coordinated case of elder abuse, systemic bullying, and corporate theft.  We are circulating #JusticeForMrSteve across all social media platforms to demand:

1. The immediate release of 81-year-old Mr. Steve from his forced confinement in Griffin, GA and the immediate return to his own home in Douglas County, GA. 
2. A full state investigation into the fraudulent foreclosure executed without 18.5 years of payment records.
3. Strict accountability and stripping of licenses for the judge, conservator, and attorneys involved. 
4. We demand that the Georgia Judicial Qualifications Commission (JQC), the Douglas County District Attorney, and the State Bar of Georgia launch an immediate criminal and ethical investigation into Probate Judge Valerie V. Vie, Conservator Elizabeth Williams Winfield and her law firm Simmons Finney & Winfield, (DHS) Department of Human Services and Douglas County Sheriff Department  for the unlawful removal, relocation, isolation, and detainment and lender Nationstar/Mr. Cooper and legal counsel McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC for predatory foreclosure targeting 81-year-old homeowner Mr. Steve.
