I know, we've heard it all before. The fantastic world of social media! it is a blessing and a curse. Before I start I would like to say - I don't expect the police to react every time someone says something horrible to someone else on social media - that is a total waste of time, but in our case where a serious hate campaign has been created - this should be taken seriously. People end their lives because of social media bullying! 

My name is Sophie and I run Masons Cavies on Facebook. I have just under 300k  Facebook followers and 600K on tiktok. i run my page with my husband, We both have (ready for it.....) 88 guinea pigs! We look after them to the highest standard and love sharing the animals with the world. 

however, it has come with a downside. I believe, the abuse that we are suffering is abnormal. Everyone who is successful has 'haters' - you know, those miserable people who couldn't be happy about anything unless it benefits them somehow! what a miserable way to live! This isn't the case for us. Our haters have been fed lies and allegations from people who knew us on a personal level. 

Back in 2019/20 i was in a court case for my children. These individuals decided to get in contact with the other party and spread HORRFIC allegations of abuse towards my children and husband. All this information has been passed on to individuals who run guinea pig rescues within the UK (only a handful, I do not wish to pin this on ALL rescues) and have gathered a huge hate campaign against me. 

I have been reported to every authority under the sun, more than once - RSPCA, HMRC, DWP, BBC, ITV, THE HOUSING AUTHORITY, as well as having to be investigated for abuse by a court of law, based purely out of spitefulness. 

Over the last 3 weeks alone, i have been emailed over 100 times by these people. We ban block their IPS and they create another. My exotic vet has had her boss emailed with abuse and allegations just because she is MY vet. They have threatened to kill my guinea pigs and my dogs. Have contacted my Childs school telling them I am abusing my son. The list is endless. 

I sent off a file to the Lincolnshire police containing all evidence of abuse from fake profiles that I am CERTAIN is from the same small number of people. Including a string of emails from one of them pretending to be a solicitor. This 'solicitor' phoned me and listened to my sob my heart out for almost half an hour because of the abuse I was dealing with. I also told this 'solicitor' that i have evidence within a court of law, stating that 3 women were to be brought forward as witnesses for the prosecution against me. Two of these women were my best mates and the other I've never met but they gave consent to stand in a court of law and claim abuse on my part. After the phone call with this 'solicitor' the recording of me crying was sent to my ex husband by the person who recorded me, who then sent it to the courts claiming I was breaking an undertaking. I wasn't, but it took less than a few hours for that recording to get to my ex. I showed all of this evidence to the police to be told 'ignore it' and 'its not a crime' - if sharing my personal information, recording me without my knowledge and then passing on sensitive information about a court hearing to the other party, isn't a crime. I don't know what is and will forever struggle to understand how people can get away with such cruelty. 

That was back in February 2021 and nothing has changed. The police won't help me as they claim everyone is entitled to an opinion and impersonating a solicitor isn't a crime. A blog was set up about me which has also been used as a place to spout abuse about me bullying hard working rescues and abusing my children - I have pleaded with these people to get me investigated so I can prove my innocence and that I haven't bullied anyone but no one will listen to me- It is far easier to spread lies about me to ruin my reputation. 

I have uploaded several items (over 100 images) on my website www.masonscavies.co.uk of just how bad things have been only over the last 4 weeks. I live on a RAF camp and they even claimed to be in contact with the station commander to get me booted off camp. this turned out to be untrue s thankfully, my husband is a respected member of the forces. 

I need help to get the police to look into these VPNS that these people are using and properly investigate the abuse because this is unacceptable. I am lucky that I have a good strong network of people around me but others might not be so lucky! Trying to get the police to take social media bullying seriously is like trying to get blood out of a stone. 

I am grateful that this abuse has made me a stronger person but someone else might not be so lucky! If things can be this bad for me and no one will help - what chance does anyone else have?

THIS NEEDS INVESTIGATING.
