Subject - Demand of 'Death Penalty' for Manisha's murderers.
Manisha Chauhan, a 22 year old girl, was brutally murdered and immolated by her own elder brother, sister-in-law, her sister-in-law's illicit lover and other accomplices on the night of 2 November, 2023.
Yes, you read that right! By her own BROTHER Manish alias Vivek, SISTER-IN-LAW Shikha and her sister-in-law's illicit lover Pawan.
Reason? Manisha had found out about her sister-in-law's illicit affair with Pawan and also for Manisha’s paternal property assets worth crores.
Manisha or "Mini", as she was lovingly called by her close ones, was born in Noida. She had lost her father to cancer, at a tender age of 10 years back in 2011. Despite the tragedy, she grew up having a very loving and kind heart in her.
After her father passed away in 2011, her elder brother and her own mother, started treating her badly and often would abuse her both physically and mentally.
The torture only escalated and became worse, when her brother got married to a woman named Shikha.
Upon knowing of the illicit affair of Shikha -- Manisha was brutally tortured, mentally and physically abused and was starved of food in her own home!
For years, the abuse continued with the intention of torturing Manisha into taking her her own life, as Shikha knew that getting rid of Manisha would mean she will have her freedom to continue with her illicit affair with Pawan and also at the same time would get hold of Manisha’s property. Manisha’s brother Manish, was also a supporter in the same. When Manisha didn’t give in, they eventually planned to end her life by murdering her.
On the night of November 1, 2023, they manually strangulated Manisha in her own bedroom, then put her lifeless body in a suitcase and drove it in a car 75 kms from Noida to Baghpath and set it on fire in a wasteland there in the early hours of November 2, 2023.
Some local witnessed the body burning at the crime scene and informed the police. The police have already nabbed the perpetrators but the road to deserved justice it seems will be a long one.
Hence, we request your urgent intervention and support in this case to make sure that any other sister or daughter of the country in the future doesn’t have to suffer the same fate as poor Manisha did.
We demand for a death penalty for all the perpetrators - we demand JUSTICE FOR MANISHA.
