Justice for Lesley Marie Mandujano

Justice for Lesley Marie Mandujano
The Issue
On April 21 Lesley Marie Mandujano age 25 was coming home from a movie night with her friends when 19-year-old Lonnie Jerald Komahcheet III ran a red light on the intersection of Country Club Drive and U.S. 66 while intoxicated and killed lesley on impact only minutes from her house.
An arrest affidavit says police "detected a [sic] odor of alcohol on Lonnie's breath" and that he had "stuttered speech."
It says he admitted he, "smoked marijuana earlier in the day,” and after initially denying drinking alcohol, when pressed by an officer, the affidavit says he responded, "ok, I had a beer."
Komahcheet is currently in custody at Dallas County with a $250,000 bond but is trying to get his bond reduced.
Komahcheet is also try to receive less time in jail for taking someone’s life. While Lying to the police about his alcohol and drug use that night and failed to comply with the police officers at the scene when asked to do a breathalyzer while also denied blood work being done until a warrant was put in use.
Lesley had her whole life ahead of her. She had such a free spirit who made the most of her days with the people she loved the most.
I put this petition up to plea the judge to have Komahcheet serve the most amount of time for the life of Lesley. Doing this will not bring her back but it will give light to all the people that have lost family members and have served injustice from someone that chose to drive while intoxicated.
Komacheet to begin with was not of age when he made the decisions. In Texas the legal drinking age is 21 and Komancheet is 19.
Drunk and drugged driving comes with a cost and it is one that robs us of mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, spouses and friends.
What Lesley’s family wants is justice and for the judge not to discount the sentence.
