On August 6, schoolgirl, Kyra Hill, died after drowning at Liquid Leisure - an aqua park facility in Windsor, Berkshire. It took in excess of 30 minutes for emergency services to be contacted and almost 2 hours for Kyra to be found - in the exact area of water where she was seen going underneath! We contend that the nonchalant attitude of staff and their inadequate response to the incident is the reason why Kyra was not saved.

The park, who have failed to contact Kyra’s family, have been served a prohibition notice by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead; banning it from reopening until it “satisfies the council they have suitable and sufficient risk assessments to prevent or reduce the risk of drowning”. We however, contend that the worst has already happened; thus we are urging the Government to prohibit its reopening permanently. One life lost is one too many! 

She could have and should have been saved. #JusticeforKyra
