The Issue

On July 4th, 2025, at approximately 12:40 AM, Kyle Burrell, 35, was riding his motorcycle to his girlfriend’s home when he was struck by a suspected drunk driver in a Chevrolet Silverado at the intersection of N. Durango Drive and the CC-215 Westbound off-ramp in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kyle was ejected over 200 feet and died from his injuries at the scene.

The police report claimed there were “no independent witnesses” and listed the traffic signal status as “unknown.”
However — witnesses did exist. One came forward, recorded video, and reported to Channel 8 News that the driver was throwing alcohol cans from his truck immediately after the crash instead of helping Kyle.

The driver was arrested for DUI… yet was released on his own recognizance the next morning and is currently facing only a misdemeanor DUI charge — despite:

Traveling at a high rate of speed
Entering the intersection at an unknown signal phase
Striking a motorcycle in a collision that killed a man instantly
Allegations of tampering with the scene by discarding evidence (alcohol cans)
This is not justice. This is a failure of accountability.

We, the undersigned, demand:

Upgraded charges appropriate to the severity of this fatal crash.
Full release of evidence including witness statements, video footage, and crash scene documentation.
Independent review of the Nevada State Police’s handling of this case, including why a known fatal DUI suspect was released OR within hours.
Public transparency on why policy changes suddenly prevented the release of the suspect’s identity in official statements.
Kyle  Burrell was more than just a victim of this crash — he was a kind, generous soul who gave to his community, loved his friends and family deeply, and deserved to live out the life that was taken from him.

We call upon Nevada State Police, the Clark County District Attorney, and all relevant authorities to ensure this case is handled with the seriousness it demands.

Justice delayed is justice denied. We will not be silent.
