On June 18, 2026, Ketan Agarwal was murdered, pushed into a 400-foot gorge at Lohagad Fort near Pune. His fiancée, Siya Goyal (20), and her lover, Chetan Chaudhary (22), stand arrested for murder and criminal conspiracy. To avoid an arranged marriage and elope, they chose blood over honesty—taking an innocent life before the vows were even spoken.
The Protest
On June 27, 2026, a candlelight march was held for Ketan. Unable to attend physically, we raise this petition as a virtual flame. We refuse to let his memory be erased or the crime be diluted.
The Questions
- If she did not want the marriage, a simple "no" would have sufficed. She could have been honest, refused the alliance, and walked away. Instead, she chose to weaponize a facade of fake affection, trapping an innocent man in a lethal conspiracy. There is no justification for such calculated cruelty.
- A few blame the system. Why blame the system? Deflecting this atrocity onto the "arranged marriage system" is a gross, misinformed evasion of personal guilt. This is not a failure of custom; it is a profound failure of human character.
