JUSTICE FOR KAYLAN — Uphold the Court of Appeal's 6-year sentence

1,027

The Issue

On 29th February 2024, 13-year-old Kaylan Hippsley was killed in a hit-and-run. The Court of Appeal increased Harley Whiteman’s sentence to 9 years — ordering 6 YEARS IN CUSTODY with NO EARLY RELEASE — specifically because of the depravity of his conduct, including physically trying to stop a nurse performing life-saving CPR.

Barely 2 years later — before even one-third of the sentence has been served — the offender has been moved to an OPEN PRISON with a projected full release date of 2028. This means only 2 years of actual secure custody — HALF of what the highest court in the land ordered.

Worse — the offender has close family living abroad and PROVEN history of fleeing responsibility — making open prison conditions an unacceptable and dangerous risk that he will abscond and disappear from the country completely.

Kaylan was just 13. He got NO second chance. He got NO open prison. He got NO time off for good behaviour. He got NOTHING.

So why does the man who took him get HALF his sentence? Why does he get freedom? Why does he get the chance to run?

WE THE PUBLIC DEMAND:

• ✅ Immediate return to CLOSED, secure prison conditions

• ✅ Full 6-year custody order upheld — NO open prison

• ✅ No early release — exactly as the Court of Appeal ordered

• ✅ Full public explanation of why the Appeal Court's judgment is being ignored

Kaylan deserves EVERY day of justice. He deserves for the highest court's word to actually MEAN something.
