Justice for Jessica Cormier

Justice for Jessica Cormier
The Issue
Please support our family by signing this petition in opposition of parole for Clarence Berry who brutally murdered our daughter, and sister, Jessica Cormier. We need to ensure that Jessica gets the justice she deserves and that we keep this dangerous man behind bars and off the streets.
Jessica was kind, loving, funny, creative, and motivated. She had a love for hip-hop music and the New England Patriots. She graduated from high school and a dental assistant program while working as well as interning at a dental office. She had dreams for her future which included celebrating her 21st birthday, being her sister’s maid-of-honor in her upcoming wedding, and starting her own business one day.
On January 3rd, 2012, Jessica, who was only 20 years old at the time, was barely 5 feet tall, and weighed barely 100lbs was horrifically murdered by Clarence Berry who was 60 years old, over 6 feet tall, and weighed over 200lbs. Jessica never stood a chance. Clarence Berry stalked Jessica for months and the morning that he killed her he was walking around the home and neighborhood where we lived to make a plan for murdering her later that night. While Jessica was walking up the street he approached her and stabbed her eight times penetrating her heart, liver, stomach, and lung. This murder was premeditated and planned carefully.
For two years after her murder, we had to face Jessica’s killer multiple times in court for one hearing or another. In 2014 he pleaded guilty to second degree murder which gave him a sentence of life in prison with eligibility for parole in fifteen years. For fifteen years our family has been struggling to get through each day and pick up the pieces after this heinous crime. Now we will be facing him once again at his parole hearing coming up in the fall of 2026.
Please sign this petition to keep this person behind bars. He not only murdered our beautiful, young daughter, but he was also suspected of a previous murder but got away with it because of a lack of evidence. Help us get justice for our daughter and keep this from happening to another family.
