Justice for Hoshang

Justice for Hoshang
The Issue
Case Against Islam Amiri
YAM,
My name is Hoshang Noor Ali. I was a participant in the open men's Soccer category (Team Quebec) for Illume.
We played NEO on Saturday and an unfortunate incident happened. I wanted to bring this to your attention because we are ONE JAMAT and we are all spiritual brothers and sisters. I do not wish for this to happen to anyone else.
Around the 10th minute, the Ontario team had a corner kick. The ball was in the air, I jumped up and cleared the ball by hitting it with my head and from the back a player from team Ontario (Islam Amiri) came and hit me on my head with his elbow. It was not a 50/50 situation since I already cleared the ball. When he came up to me from the back and used his elbow to hit me in the head, the impact of his force and my latitude caused a serious injury to my face and my head. I fell to the floor immediately after the collision and saw a fair amount of blood around my face. It took close to 15 mins to get me off the ground to the bench. The 20 minutes following the hit I lost memory (temporary amnesia). All I remember is me being on the bench and not understanding why I was not on the field. I kept asking the same question “What happened? Why am I not on the field?” My teams were very concerned as I had no idea of what just happened and how it happened to me. I was advised by the medical team on site that I most likely have a concussion and for safety measures should make my way to the hospital for a scan of my brain to ensure no brain swelling or brain bleeds. I had severe bruising on my lip and a few cuts in my mouth which was causing the bleeding. As the game continued, I started to feel a bit dizzy and the onset of a headache. This was very concerning to my team, my family and myself. I am a professional soccer player and have been playing my entire life. I have had my fair share of injuries but nothing so malicious as such to date.
As some of you reading this letter may know, I played on Team Canada for the Dubai Jubilee games in 2016. I am very proud to be a part of our community held events and encourage the youth and my teammates to play hard and clean. As a player with talent, we do not need to be aggressive on the field. We need to shine on our abilities rather than our weaknesses. I also hold the title of team captain. I respect both my teammates and the rest of my brothers and sisters at this event.
After the game I went to the hospital from 7pm to 4am. This was a very stressful time for my family and myself. My teammates were worried about me and the next few games we will need to play to be selected for the National Team. I was advised and reconfirmed that I have a concussion. I cannot play sports or engage in any physical activity for the next week and cannot do my ordinary activities. I could not go to work today since I cannot drive, and my head still hurts (We are the 8th of August at this moment I am writing this).
I am not one to complain, I have been playing this game for years at high levels. I have gotten injured, I enjoy competition, but I am an advocate for fair play.
I was told before the game, Islam Amiri told teammates that he will kill the best player on Team Quebec (I have players on NEO that will confess this).
I was on the floor with blood all over my face (my lip got cut) and he was insulting me while I was on the floor bleeding.
Once the game finished, many players and coaches on the NEO side came to see how I was doing. Unfortunately, Islam Amiri never came to apologize. He showed no remorse. He acted as if nothing happened and what he did was the right thing.
I came to Illume hoping for a fair and enjoyable tournament. However, this incident, really scared my whole family and all my teammates. We are now seeking justice from the Ismaili youth and sports board.
This was an intentional hit, a life-threatening hit and this is not what fair play looks like. There was a camera on the field, for sure you can find the footage of it and see how the hit was intentional.
I am writing this because:
1)It is unacceptable for him to not have any consequence after what he did.
2)He does not represent our Jamat’s values and image. He should not be allowed to play at any of our Jamati events.
3)Because of this incident, I played only one game and 10 minutes. The evaluators did not see me enough and I am at risk of not being selected for the national team.
He did not only hit me, but he has also done the same to many other players during the tournament. In the semi, he did the same thing to a 19-year-old player by hitting him with his elbow.
Originally, he was supposed to be a player of Quebec Team since he lives here. But he had conflicts with the organizations staff and the players from Quebec because of his bad attitude and his dirty way of playing. He contacted the coach of Toronto and wanted to play with them. He lives in Quebec; I do not understand how he got to play with the Ontario team. He lied about this. I doubt a person will relocate because of a sporting event.
Do you think it will be a good idea to have this individual on the Canada Team? Look at his history. I am playing with a team in New-York called Brishna FC, there are many players of Afghanistan National players. They all told me stories about Amiri and how bad of a person he is and bad influence he had on the team. Here are some links:

This individual does not deserve his place on the National Team. He does not represent our value and image we have in the world. I am doing this complaint because of the injustice he did to me. The head is such a fragile place.
I thank God nothing more severe happened. It could’ve been something worse.
How can you come to a Jamat event and intentionally hit someone in the head because he is a good player?
Because you want him out of the tournament?
He did not only put an end to my tournament. I can’t do my normal activities. I must stay home, not work and just rest.
I do believe in my Jamat and that the right decision will be taken. My family, friends and all the fans were sad about what happened to me and are all seeking for justice.
Thank you,
Hoshang Noor Ali.
