On September 14, 2023, Ontario government officials seized all the animals from the no kill shelter FurEver Family Sanctuary.  There are hardly any animal shelters in Cochrane and other parts of Northern Ontario, and now there is one less.  A bunny died, a treatable pig was euthanized, adoptable and treatable pets were euthanized, and a budgie went missing during the raid.  

The animal officers are supposed to have a code of conduct, and animals were allegedly mistreated according to a video taken by the shelter.

We would like the government to return the surviving animals, and/or adopt and foster them out.  We would also like the government to stop raiding these sanctuaries because their fees are late, or for other minor infractions.  We would like an appeal option, and the government to support, rather than fight with, these animal sanctuaries.
