Thank you all for your support!!! Got word from the lawyers that Deshaun’s appeal was filed earlier today. It’s in the Court of Appeals, however, it will most likely take years to be dealt with. 

The best course of action going forward is to file a habeas corpus petition, to show that Deshaun was unfairly targeted because of his race and location. I can say firsthand that Riley County cracks down harder on weed than all other counties in Kansas, despite being a liberal college town. We’re aware that there are statistics out there to prove this, and a source has them compiled already. They are very comprehensive, having data on every case similar to this in every KS county and all their details.

I’ve been quoted between $3000-$8000 for this data, and that is before lawyer fees. I’m in the process of writing to many national lawyers who do wrongful conviction/unfair sentencing cases pro bono. Should I get no response we may have to retain the lawyers we have now, who have done their very best to help Deshaun and I am so thankful for. Please hold your promotion donations for this petition right now, as I will set up a GoFundMe this next week. This may be a much longer fight than we bargained for, but we will NOT stop until Deshaun is free.
