Justice for Delquan Danford- Overturn a Wrongful Conviction in Utah

Justice for Delquan Danford- Overturn a Wrongful Conviction in Utah
The Issue
My name is Ebony Danford, and I am the mother of Delquan Danford, a loving father, music artist, fashion designer, and entrepreneur who is currently serving a 0–15 year sentence in Utah for crimes he did not commit.
In 2025, Delquan was wrongfully convicted after being accused by his ex-girlfriend, Mckenzie Jordan Maas Keller, who has a well-documented history of prostitution, drug use, and making false allegations. Years after their relationship ended, Mckenzie resurfaced with fabricated claims of human trafficking dating back to 2014–2015. She aligned her narrative with support from public influencer Pastor Victor Marx, manipulating the system to appear as a survivor rather than a co-conspirator in deception.
Despite the lack of evidence, key inconsistencies in her story, and proof that Delquan had no financial activity during the timeline she provided (verified by Chase and Wells Fargo Bank), Delquan was charged and sentenced without ever facing a jury. He was coerced into a plea deal under threat of a life sentence. His attorneys, Julie George and Kevin Vanderwerff, failed him at every turn—neglecting key evidence, waiving crucial hearings, and silencing the voices of exculpatory witnesses like Desyre Star Hill, the accuser’s former best friend.
This case is built on racial bias, prosecutorial misconduct, perjury, and ineffective counsel. The State of Utah never should have prosecuted this case—especially when the initial complaint was made in Nevada, years outside the statute of limitations.
Delquan is not a trafficker—he is a father. He was building a life for his daughter and turning his life around when this injustice began. He deserves his freedom, his family, and his dignity.
We are demanding:
That the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center take up Delquan Danford’s case.
That the Utah State Board of Pardons and Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office re-examine the facts and evidence.
That all wrongful charges be dismissed with prejudice.
That justice is restored to a man who never received a fair trial.
Please sign and share this petition. Let’s amplify Delquan’s story and fight for the justice that was stolen from him.
