On the 11th of February 2023, 16 year old Brianna Ghey was murdered in broad daylight.

Brianna Ghey was a trans girl who faced bullying because of her identity, she even had the police and school involved after she was physically attacked and filmed by her bullies with no real change.

Brianna Ghey is now being failed by the police, they have said that there is "no evidence" that her murder is a hate crime fueled by her gender identity despite her being targeted. This is unacceptable.

I am therefor calling for the police to investigate Brianna's death properly and to treat it as a hate crime. It is time to stop failing trans people in the UK which has seen a rise in transphobia aided by public figures and the media which ultimately ended this young girls life.

Police failed Brianna in life, let's not fail her in death.
