We, the undersigned, call for urgent action and accountability in the tragic hit-and-run that claimed the life of 10-year-old Blessing at the intersection of Heidelberg Road and Airport Road, near Carnival Mall.

Blessing was a bright, innocent child whose life was cut short by a reckless act of violence. The pain and trauma inflicted on her family and community cannot be overstated. Yet, while they mourn, the person responsible has been allowed to walk free on bail. This is not justice but a failure of our legal and moral systems.

A child is gone, and we cannot sit silently.

We demand:

1. Immediate revocation of bail for the suspect.
2. Full prosecution and appropriate charges for fleeing the scene of a fatal accident.

Allowing someone accused of taking a child’s life to remain free sends a dangerous message — that our children’s lives are negotiable. They are not.
