Justice for Anne Tso: Reject the Plea Bargain

The Issue

We, the undersigned, stand together to demand full justice for Anne Tso, a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and co‑worker whose life was brutally and senselessly taken in South Philadelphia.

On February 27, 2026, our world was shattered. My 27‑year‑old sister, Anne Tso, was murdered in her own home by the person she trusted and shared her home with her roommate. This was not a random act; it was a calculated, cruel attack. Anne welcomed another person into her home and, in return, was subjected to multiple stab wounds and a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

Anne was more than a case file. She was a warm, kind, and vibrant young woman whose loss has left a permanent void in our family. The pain of her absence is felt every day; in holidays, gatherings, and quiet moments of remembrance.

The individual charged with this heinous crime is currently detained. We have learned a plea bargain may be considered. We believe a plea deal that reduces accountability would be an injustice to Anne, to her family, and to our community.

We therefore respectfully but urgently demand:

  • That the District Attorney’s Office reject any plea bargain in this case.
  • That this matter proceed to a full and public trial where all evidence and testimony may be presented and examined.
  • That, upon conviction, the prosecution seek and the Court impose the maximum penalty permitted by law, up to and including life imprisonment without the possibility of parole or capital punishment where lawfully applicable to reflect the premeditated, brutal nature of this murder and to ensure community
