(Below observations, originally appearing  on Facebook, are offered by a close observer of the Tiffany Valiante case.)

I have an analogy between an Archaeologist and a NJ Medical Examiner.

Once upon a time I was a student of archaeology and have participated in digs (such as the one pictured in the file photo).

In my studies in Archaeology it was imperative that no one moved a crumb of a physical piece of finding before the circumstances in which it was found were viewed in person/photographed/analyzed and documented to understand how the item got to be there. Although the Chief Archaeologist may not be doing the digging themselves, they generally are always around in person overseeing all.

There’s no way an archaeologist would ever not visit a dig site on which they are giving an analysis or a conclusion/Paper! Their peers would instantly dispute the accuracy of the findings!

IMO, NJ seems to have a nonsense law NOT requiring the Medical Examiner providing a ruling/report/review to attend a scene - like the impact scene Tiffany was found in ! Neither Falzon the State ME nor Shah the ME who was handed the body bag containing her remains attended the scene. Only a “Medical Assistant” briefly turned up on the night.

How can an ME professional give a report on a scene that they never attended. UNPROFESSIONAL !

I hope the legal team is vigorously pursuing the interpretation of the law that upholds the non-requirement for a Medical Examiner to attend the scene of this crime and still produce a report/verdict on the manner of death. They have deliberately chosen to ignore and show ongoing lack of care about how Tiffany ended up at the impact scene.

Massive gap of information = their skewed conclusion IMO !!
