My Physical State on Day 84th of my 3rd #HungerStrike outside UNHCR office in Athens, Greece — Photos — Monday, December 06th, 2021
Today, Monday, December 06th, 2021, as I have entered day 84th of my 3rd Hunger Strike Outside #UNHCR Office in Athens, Greece, I am sharing a series of new Pictures of my current Physical State. These pictures were taken last Wednesday, hence are a little outdated, but as they haven’t been sent to me till now, I couldn’t share them with the public.
I am truly in a very dire situation, and death could strike at any given moment. I suppose, rather than protection, that’s ultimately what a Refugee gets for Asylum, when they address their needs for effective protection and durable solutions to the supposed mandated authorities, in this case, the office of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
Instead of acknowledging the issue and trying to resolve it, they all, the government, NGOs and UNHCR, have colluded to cover this up and literally expect to get away with murder and targeted assassination. As if our lives as Refugees worth nothing and deserves no better treatment than slaves.
Over the course of this over 7-years-long Hostage taking and my complete deprivation in this country, this is the third time I find myself in such horrific state.
Counting the number of days from my first (64-days, 2017) and second (73-days, 2020) Hunger Strikes here, thus far I have been on 221-days-long Hunger Strike in this exact location since the start of my protest on March 21st, 2017.
Why a Refugee, a beneficiary of International Protection has to endure so much just to get a Safe Passage to a country of Asylum. I call on the Immigration and Asylum authorities of Canada, U.S. and Australia if there is any humanity left in them, then please help us find an urgent resolution this ongoing atrocity now.
If, however, my death from the continuation of this Hunger Strike was inevitable, I am requesting to be cremated and the ashes of my body be poured into the Aegean Sea to symbolize that I wish I had never made it to this ugly place in search of Refuge.
Nothing like this should happen to anyone, anywhere, and no one should be put through a situation like this.
This is a dire emergency. Please do not be indifferent and ignorant to what is happening here and take action now. Thank you.
