Dear Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau and dear Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Marco Mendicino;
Enclosed, referring to two of my latest emails addressed to the Ambassador of Canada to Greece, Mark Allen, respectively, on Monday, May 31st, 2021 and Tuesday, June 08th, 2021, I am reaching out to you again to seek a compassionate response regarding the same pressing humanitarian appeal that I have been continually addressing to your country since before the second destabilization of my life in 2014.
I cannot obtain a Resettlement Referral from UNHCR. Because they claim they do not Resettle Refugees from Greece and with complete disregard for my life, my safety and well-being and despite total lack of protection in this country continues to push for my further imprisonment in Greece. Even when I never asked for asylum here, even when they along with the Greek authorities have misled me here in 2014 and caused my illegal deportation from Sweden back to Greece in 2015 and not only have held me Hostage and deprived me of everything here, but also have been humiliating, degrading and torturing me day after day ever since.
Years into their illegal practice of calling the Police on me and sending me to detention, court and prison and not talking to me at all, finally two days ago, on Wednesday, July 21st, 2021, they called me in for a meeting only to reiterate their position on my case at a time that I am now even without shelter, without food and without money and have been undocumented ever since March 19th, 2018.
There are fates worse that death and I fear they have handed one to me because from the looks of it, it seems this was all orchestrated long time ago to put me in a situation like this and force me into taking Hunger Strike after another Hunger Strike and eventually starving me to death and cover it up. As I never existed at all, as if my life never mattered at all. They took every shred of my dignity and honor and are now coming after my life. They do all this while viciously calling it humanitarian. I truly fear for my life, my safety and well-being.
I should also inform you that despite reaching out to almost all the Refugee Sponsorship Agreement Holders (SAHs) in Canada for years, in fact, since 2013, the people who are all going to receive a Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) of this email as well, yet so far none of them have volunteered to offer any assistance at all and at best conditioned their support on having a family member OR relatives there in Canada, which unfortunately I have none present there. Probably it is for the same reason that it also seems impossible for me to acquire a group of Private Sponsors (G5) in Canada as I also have no friend there I could confidently rely on for this.
The time is of utmost essence to me and I have none left. I am at imminent risk of survival, have critical health conditions yielded from my last summer’s Hunger Strike and I fear undergoing another Hunger Strike may ultimately lead me to my death.
This has been a continued and prolonged Humanitarian appeal to your country and at this time it all comes down to Canada, to treat it right. I will be indebted to you if you kindly consider responding to this plea urgently and in a compassionate manner, whether by offering immediate and tangible assistance for my Resettlement through UNHCR OR clearing me for entry to Canada to let me seek Asylum/Protection there upon arrival. It is without any doubt that you do not need anyone’s permission to let someone into your territory.
Please help and don’t let this lead to a greater tragedy than it already is, because you have the capacity, the resources and the power and a big and rich country that can certainly accommodate me as well if you want to. A country that I would proudly be a member of and will serve to the best of my ability for the rest of my life.
For your knowledge, tomorrow I will also again be in front of your Embassy in Athens, and I hope with all my being that I wouldn’t have to leave again with a broken heart. I have already been torn into pieces and with UNHCR taking all my hopes away on Wednesday, I don’t think I can survive this horrible nightmare anymore. It is now 7 years that I am continually asking for a Resettlement Referral from this organization. If they were to give it to me, they would have a long time ago. But it seems they have been turned into hired assassins rather than the humanitarian they were supposed to be and probably being paid to keep me in this constant state of suffering. If once there was light and hope in my life, there is now none, because they took it all.
Nothing like this should happen to anyone, anywhere and no one should be put through a situation like this.
This is a dire emergency. Please do not be indifferent and ignorant to what is happening here and take action now.
