Followed by three consecutive sleepless nights at the National Library of Greece, where I could get electricity and Internet in order to do my computer works, I was hoping to get a little bit of sleep last night at the doorsteps of the UNHCR office without having to end up in detention at Police Station OR in a Court OR in prison.
It came to my attention afterwards that there was a new security guard at the entrance of the UNHCR building. And it turned out he had already gotten his orders to call the Police on me as soon as he saw me there in front of their building. Which is why even without speaking to me and in a matter of minutes, right after I finished cleaning up where I was hoping to get some rest without being worried for my life while in sleep, Police has already arrived to the scene.
They took me to the Ambelokipi Police Station where they held me for one hour and then let me go. However, upon my release they threatened to take me to the Court and to prison afterwards if they come and take me away again.
To keep my belongings such as my phone, computer and my clothes out of harm ways and from being taken away by the Police again and also because of the timing of the incident, I have decided to get rest somewhere else rather than going back to the doorsteps of UNHCR again. However, this would only be a temporary measure till I prepare and send the email I intend to send to the officials at the UNHCR. But whether OR not the upcoming email is going to make any changes to my dire and unbearable situation will remain to be seen. All I know for now is that I once again fear for my life, my safety and well-being.
Due to being extremely tried last night and also due to lack of electricity and internet I couldn't publish the video of my last night's removal from the doorsteps of the UNHCR office and had to look for somewhere else to get some rest. As you could see in the video behind me, at last I found myself in a little Green area that is very close to the UNHCR's office.
However, my sleep here has also been distributed a few times and I was forced to change places because of the water being pumped out by the Sprinkler Irrigation system. While this was happening, it was still too dark here and my phone couldn't record much of anything.
Which why I had to wait for daylight in order to be able to explain this part to you on the camera. When the water started being pumped out, I was already asleep and consequently got too much water being sprayed all over me and my belongings on the first occasion. I couldn’t really avoid getting wet again and had to find somewhere dry and out of the water's reach.
Right now, aside from my health conditions which are in a critical state, I have no shelter, no food and at the immediate risk of survival.
