Justice Against False Statements – Demand Verified Proof Before Issuing Protection Orders

The Issue: Protecting the Integrity of the Legal System

False claims can destroy lives.

When someone manipulates the legal system with baseless accusations, it does not just affect the accused—it weakens the system meant to protect true victims. I am one of the countless individuals who have been falsely accused, forced to defend myself against fabricated allegations, and burdened with the consequences of a deeply flawed legal process that allows orders of protection to be granted without substantial evidence.

This petition is not just about my story—it is about a system that permits injustice. I am the one who has been harassed, especially by the people my relative/relatives have influenced. Instead of taking responsibility for their own bad choices, they have a history of malicious retaliation rather than owning up to their actions.

They have chosen to shift the blame onto me, spreading false claims and weaponizing the legal system against me. No one deserves to be lied about or falsely accused. The damage from such lies goes beyond the courtroom—it lingers in reputations, relationships, and emotional well-being.

False accusations are not harmless. They lead to unjust consequences, waste valuable court resources, and weaken protections for real victims. The fact that protection orders can be granted based solely on unverified claims makes it dangerously easy for people with personal vendettas to exploit the system.

The Facts: Why the System Needs Change

False claims can permanently damage reputations, careers, and relationships. Accusations do not simply go away, even when proven false. Society often assumes guilt before innocence, making it incredibly difficult for the falsely accused to restore their lives.

No one wants to be falsely accused. Being targeted with lies creates stress, anxiety, financial burdens, and lasting harm to one’s name. Accusations—even when untrue—can alter the course of someone’s life.
The legal system should demand solid proof, not just words.

Protection orders should serve their true purpose—to protect actual victims of abuse. Without requiring tangible evidence, courts risk enabling false claims that dilute the integrity of these crucial legal protections.

A flawed system is being exploited. Statistics from the Los Angeles Superior Court in 2013 showed that approximately 75% of restraining orders were issued without any physical evidence. This means that the majority of these orders were based solely on accusations, many of which could be dishonest or exaggerated.

False accusations prevent real victims from getting help. When courts are flooded with unverified claims, true victims of abuse may face longer wait times, increased skepticism, and delayed justice.

False claims invite further harassment. Those who file fabricated accusations are not just harming the person they target—they are also influencing others to join in the harassment.

I have been harassed, not just by my accuser, but by the people they have influenced. This has forced me into a constant battle to defend myself against lies.

What Needs to Change
We demand reforms to ensure that:

Protection orders require verified evidence – Courts must implement stricter requirements before granting protection orders, such as documented threats, credible witnesses, or other tangible proof beyond just verbal claims.

False accusations carry real consequences – Those who intentionally file baseless claims should be held accountable through fines or legal repercussions. False reports undermine real victims and waste judicial resources.

Judges have clear guidelines to prevent misuse – There must be stronger judicial oversight to prevent the abuse of protection orders for personal vendettas.

Protection orders do not enable harassment of the accused – There must be safeguards to prevent false accusers from using court orders as a tool to rally others into harassing or ostracizing their target.

Why Your Signature Matters
You can help prevent the wrongful use of protection orders that destroy innocent lives. No one should be dragged into legal battles based on lies. I refuse to be held responsible for someone else’s bad decisions. The burden of their choices should not fall on my shoulders.

No one should have to live in fear of being falsely accused. No one should have their reputation destroyed by lies. False accusations are not just unfair—they are dangerous.

Sign this petition to demand justice, fairness, and accountability. Let’s ensure that protection orders serve their intended purpose—shielding those in real danger, not enabling those who want to manipulate the system.
