Join the Keep Halloween on October 31st Tradition!!!

The Issue

In recent years a petition that has recieved many signatures and is now at the level of being considered is to switch the Halloween celebration from October 31st to the last Saturday of October as this would be more "convenient" for some folks...Some things should remain untouched and our Holiday traditions are certainly one of them! If you agree let's work together by signing this counter petition to keep Halloween celebrated on OCTOBER 31st as it's always been!!!

Halloween is an annual holiday celebrated each year on October 31st, and Halloween 2019 occurs on Thursday, October 31st... It originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1st as a time to honor all saints; soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween. Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, donning costumes, binge watching your favorite scary movies, visiting haunted houses and eating sweet treats.

Some things should NEVER change! Our Holidays are something many of us look forward to every year, it's the tradition that makes it exciting! Why water it down? Let's work together to prevent our favorite Holidays from becoming just another typical day.
