Math Help Services (MHS) is an educational platform that was created to assist math teachers with their profession. This can be anything from video lessons on how to do a subject, to worksheets that are meant to help students practice their skills. Although this might sound very helpful, there is an incredible downfall to all this.

A specific element known as “online quizzes” is disrupting the lives of students all over Quebec. These 5-10 multiple choice questions are assigned by a student’s teacher. Once you complete the quiz, you get your grade and a list of the questions that includes the ones you got right and wrong. Most teachers allow students to redo (or take a remedial) of the quiz until they achieve a perfect score. The problem: MHS does not save the questions you get right, but makes you do another quiz all over again. This obsession to get a 5/5 or a 10/10 has resulted in students spending hours at a time on the website. This makes students feel stressed, exhausted and depressed. 

We need to stand up for what we believe is incorrect to do to the student body. This is not humane. With your signature, we can take a stand at ending this hell.
