Starling apologised for closing my account without warning and have confirmed it will not be closed. They gave me £150 for the inconvenience ..... but this didn't help me when I had zero money for the food shop and no petrol in my car. I wasn't sure if my car would make it to work!

So my situation is resolved now - I can take the complaint to the Financial Ombusman but what really annoys me is they can't tell me why this happened and they don't need to. This is why I'd love you to keep sharing this petition. Closing your account is completely legal and leaves people in difficult or impossible circumstances. Innocent people can't even defend themselves. The law needs to change as I really do believe a situation like this with no access to money really could be the last straw for vulnerable people and an actual matter of life and death.
