"Bullying" is a problem in our WV school system. In Harrison County, there have been upwards of at least ten incidents of a child being "bullied" and suffering injury during school hours and on school grounds with parents receiving no support from faculty or the Board of Education. There have been numerous parents that have expressed concern regarding Liberty High School in Harrison County and the principles lack of guidance and control in her school with one incident of bullying resulting in a child suffering a TBI. Our BOE does not investigate these incidents in fear of losing state and federal funding. The safety of our children is being over-shadowed by the threat of losing funding and it's unacceptable. Please stand up and give the kids a voice. Every child has a right to learn in an environment that is safe from bullying and protected by faculty that genuinely care about the health and welfare of our children.
