Wanda Simmons and Robert Keeley were both petitioning candidates for the State Representatives in the City of Bridgeport, CT. Both filled out Candidate applications to run in District#128th (Wanda Simmons) and District 127 (Robert Keeley.) Both were granted permission by Patricia Ann Howard the Bridgeport, CT Registrar of voters to collect the respective amount of registered Democratic voters signatures for each district. Once collecting the qualifying signatures they were informed they were being disqualified because neither lived in the districts to which they were running. Patricia Ann Howard risked the lives of each candidate to the Covid19 virus and carelessly mislead Wanda Simmons and Robert Keeley by telling them they could run in any district but they would have to move into the district if they won, because the information came from the office of registrar of voters it was gross negligence. So we the people in the community request they be put back on the ballot for the August 11,2020 Primary election. As a registered Democrat,once again I am disgusted by the corruption and illegal practices that are done by those who are trusted to know the political and election laws. Bridgeport needs the leadership of Wanda and Robert to bring democracy and fair practices in the seats as State Representatives of Bridgeport Connecticut.
