Mr. Biden,

There are some reports suggesting that you may divert NASA Artemis funds to environmental studies.  We, the undersigned, respectfully ask that you stay with course with Artemis and NASA's plans to put the first woman on the Moon to stay in order to solve the Earth's climate crisis.

Although this may seem counterintuitive, establishing a thriving Cislunar economy is a large part of the solution to climate change.  Space based solar panels can be manufactured on the moon easily and deployed to Earth orbit for a fraction of the fuel and effort.  These solar arrays are 40 times as efficient as their Earth based counterparts and can produce more green energy than any other method.

The problem of climate change is well established.  What we desperately need now is a solution.  Had we pursued this course immediately after Apollo, our planet might not have a climate crisis at all.  We also wish to point out that the PRC is planning to deploy a space solar array by 2025.

Please consult with your scientific advisors.  They will confirm that every claim we are making in this petition is true.  Please do not let the American people (and the rest of the planet) down.
