Anna Mileberg started this petition to JFS and

We oppose the proposed changes to the current JFS admission policy.

JFS are consulting to amend their admissions criteria to enable Sinai and North West London Jewish Day School to become 'feeder schools' to JFS .

This means every child attending these schools, will automatically be guaranteed a place at JFS.

Children who do not attend Sinai or North West London Jewish Day School will have hardly any chance of gaining a place at JFS.

Yavneh and JCOSS removed their feeder school systems in order to serve the community more fairly and create a level playing field for families, therefore this is a big backward move by JFS.

All children should have a fair and equal chance of attending JFS.

Barnet Jewish primary schools will become a less attractive option, may not be able to fill their spaces despite many Jewish families living locally, and suffer from drops in funding, resulting in fewer resources and falling standards of education for their pupils.

There will also be an increase in traffic/pollution as families more likely choose Jewish primary schools in Brent rather than their local Jewish primary schools to guarantee their secondary places.

We oppose that the children who attend Sinai or North West London Jewish Day School should have priority over children who attend other schools.
