I began this petition after a close family friend was given three weeks notice of a possible termination of their cabin crew job. 

Ever since my friend applied for the position they have done nothing but give it their all. At the beginning they had to jump through so many hoops, mentally and financially to just secure a position. Like most of you reading this my friend is from a normal, working class family who has had to work for everything they have had or will ever have. When applying for this position they had a mountain to climb which included  balancing three jobs and studying at any spare time to pass Jet2’s exams. I have watched as my friend has worked very hard for their dream job and has given nothing but dedication and loyalty to Jet2. They absolutely wear their Jet2 wings with pride and are devastated by this news. 

I have watched my friend having to come to terms with the fact they could be facing losing their home and be plunged into debt. I can’t sit back and watch this happen and not do anything. I call on Jet2 and the UK government to come to an agreement to honour these seasonal contracts instead of watching employees be made redundant.
