Jess’s beloved Grandma remarked over the weekend that the scale of support for this petition is hard to visualise. However, she was moved to draw a comparison with the crowds gathering to mourn Pope Francis at his funeral this weekend. While estimates vary, most sources indicate that around 200,000 to 400,000 people were present, both in St Peter’s Square and lining the streets of Rome. The media images showed the enormity of support.
If all of you — all 437,613 at the time of writing — who have signed this petition in support of change and in remembrance of Jess were to gather, it would be an incredible sight.
Thank you so much for remaining constant, determined, and patient.
In the last few weeks, we have continued to meet with officials from the DHSC and NHS England, who have told us we are nearing the finishing post. They hope to have a decision on how Jess’s Law will be actioned before the summer recess.
Sharing this petition and writing to your MP remains as important as ever.
You are making the change Jess’ wanted to see. As always, thank you so much.
