Jeremy Dean Amen; Deny Parole to Serial Sex Offender and Drug Abuser

Jeremy Dean Amen; Deny Parole to Serial Sex Offender and Drug Abuser
The Issue
Having seen firsthand the devastation this man has caused to countless lives, it is beyond belief that he could be considered for parole once again. My connection to this situation is deeply personal and painful, as multiple members of my family have suffered directly due to his actions. It is a torment we relive every time he seeks freedom, a haunting shadow of worry and fear that never quite dissipates.
During his last parole hearing (September 2022) he was advised to come up with a new parole plan. A plan that required him to be released and reside outside of Twin Falls County. What this means is that we have no idea (as of now) where he may be released to. He has served nearly 13 years of his 25-year indeterminate sentence. At this point, he almost certainly hopes that we have all forgotten about him. No, Jeremy Amen, we have not forgotten about you or your heinous crimes.
This individual, beyond his heinous acts of SEXUAL MOLESTATION of CHILDREN, assault against friends, family, several ex-wives, and too many children, was immersed in a life of crime, including the use, manufacturing, and distribution of methamphetamines. His complete disregard for the law is further evidenced by his neglect of fundamental responsibilities such as maintaining insurance, securing a valid driver's license, and even failing to fulfill the most basic of child support obligations for his numerous children over the past three decades. The children he has hurt are adults now but still healing. They fight to overcome what he did to them every day. Jeremy Amen is a monster more than a man.
Despite all of this, there is a possibility that he might regain his freedom through parole. This is a grave injustice not only to his victims, but to society at large, considering his notorious history and blatant inability to adhere to even the most basic societal rules. Granting parole to such an individual poses a significant threat to the community. Statistics from the Bureau of Justice indicate that sex offenders have alarmingly high rates of recidivism, and allowing such a person back into the community could lead to further victimization and trauma. His victims deserve better.
The repercussions of freeing a repeat offender like him impact not just those he has harmed directly but perpetuate a cycle of fear and insecurity within our communities. It is imperative to send a strong message that such actions cannot and will not be tolerated, and that the safety of our community and the justice for the victims must remain paramount.
Join us in urging the parole board to deny this man's parole and protect our community from further harm. We must stand in solidarity with the victims and ensure justice prevails. Please sign this petition to voice your concern and prevent this dangerous individual from regaining his freedom.
Ask yourself; Do I want this man as my neighbor? My mothers neighbor? Do I want this man wandering the same streets, shops, and breezeways as my family? I know I do not. During his first several incarcerations, as well as his attempted parole, he claimed to have found God and had even seen the errors of his ways. I urge you, don't let this despicable human convince you that he has any salvageable or redeemable qualities. He does not. Ask yourselves; Are you willing to bet your children, your grandchildren, or your neighbors, on the hope that he really has changed? Let’s stand together and say, “we are not”.
Where could he be released? Boise? Burley? Pocatello? We just don’t know. Let’s not have to guess. Let’s not find out. Let’s all stand together in solidarity and shout at the top of our lungs, “Not one more! No more second chances!”
Keep Jeremy Dean Amen where he belongs. He needs to remain in custody in the Boise State Penitentiary as inmate # 95826.
