MAJOR UPDATE! MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD!!!!

Hello everyone! Our petition has now gained over ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED signatures in just a few days! Thank you all so much for signing. As many of you are aware, neighboring Orleans Parish just announced that in-person learning will not happen until after Labor day at the earliest! We applaud this effort as a step that they have taken in keeping students and school staff safe! As the Coronavirus continues to devastate our community and our state (We are now SECOND in the country for per-capita infections!), and as the number of cases continues to rise we are asking you to do the following...
1. Repost the petition on Social Media! We need as many community stakeholders to see this!
2. Email our school board members and our Superintendent today! to demand the safety of OUR children and school staff by not putting us PHYSICALLY back into schools until there are at least 14 days of zero recorded Coronavirus infections in the Parish.
3. FINALLY end the Digital Divide in the Greater New Orleans area! EVERY child deserves to have a FREE high quality computer and FREE high quality internet access in order to receive the 21st century education that they deserve! We can do more and we can do better!
4. Participate in a State Wide Car Caravan Teacher Protest in Front of the Governor's Mansion in Baton Rouge on Saturday! Make the drive up to Baton Rouge on Saturday! If you cannot attend, there is a local action we will be holding...details will come soon!
