This petition is for the promotion of Washington State adopting the CAREN Act. This state alone has seen so much violence derived from racism. I believe this act could protect Black and POC communities in Washington State. 

The CAREN Act or the Caution Against Racially Exploitative Non-Emergencies Act would make it illegal to leverage the police as a threat towards People of Color, criminalizing discriminatory emergency calls.

This petition is addressed to Governor Inslee and the Democratic Senators of Washington. 

Black Lives Matter, it's time to stop giving symbolic gestures versus real justice.
