JUSTICE FOR ELIJAH MCCLAIN!!!!

STOP THE USE OF KETAMINE or ANY USE OF MEDICATION USED DURING AN ARREST the same drug used for Elijah McClain.

Ketamine is an anesthetic agent, that blocks sensory perception. It can effect your Central Nervous System (CNS). It helps with pain, cause short term memory loss, used to sedate you for surgery as anesthesia, loss of coordination, and numbness. This anesthetic agent can put you in a coma and deep unconsciousness can occur. It can effect your Cardiovascular System by giving you chest pain, dangerous changes in blood pressure, heart rate, slow or speed up your heart rate, high or low blood pressure can be compromised. Your Respiratory system such as breathing can be depressed especially if you are dealing with low oxygen already, rapid, high doses and if combined with other CNS depressants, this also can compromise your breathing, (Ex: The Carotid Choke Hold used for Elijah McClain). It effects your Renal System such as toxicity to your kidneys.  An injection yields a quick response, with effects occurring in 1 to 5 minutes.

On August 24, 2019, 23 year old Elijah McClain was walking home after buying some tea at a local convenience store. Elijah, was anemic, and his preference was to wear a ski mask to keep his face warm because he was easily cold.

Someone called 911 and informed them that a person was walking around with a Ski Mask on and that it looked Sketchy.  The Aurora Police Department responded to the call and approached Elijah and said he looked suspicious. The cops proceeded to arrest him and after a struggle, McClain was handcuffed.

The officers requested medical assistance. Aurora Fire Rescue later injected Elijah with 500mg of ketamine in an attempt to sedate him, police said. They administered a dose of Ketamine even though Elijah McClain appears to be already unconscious or non responsive. When the EMT put Elijah McClain in the ambulance, one of the Officer said, he just Corded. He suffered cardiac arrest during the ambulance ride to a nearby hospital. He was pronounced dead August 27, 2019, at the age of 23 years old.

Denver 7 News stated, "...they couldn’t determine whether McClain's death was an accident, was due to natural causes, or is a homicide related to the police department's use of a carotid hold". The officers on the scene were placed on temporary leave, but have recently been reassigned to desk jobs for their safety, with No Charges, and recently Officer Rosenblatt was fired due to saying “HaHa” for pictures circulating among APD, of police Officers reenacting the Carotid Choke Hold, that was used on Elijah McClain in front of his Memorial site.  Weren’t the Police supposed to PROTECT and SERVE? Why did the Fire Rescuers Paramedic give him the Ketamine near his ear?

Sign this petition to bring justice for Elijah McClain. Demand these officers are taken off duty, and that an extensive investigation is held including the use of Ketamine. Ketamine IS NOT FDA Approved to treat combative or agitated patient who experience Excited Delirium. Ketamine should not be used during an arrest and we want the Waiver removed from The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Emergency Medical Services which Randy Kuykendall overseas the Waiver for the State of Colorado.  They are not trained to handle this drug at a Medical Professional Level and NOT aware of what someone is Allergic to or Underlying Conditions. The use of Ketamine outside of a controlled environment is dangerous, unlike a hospital where there are Medical Professionals that will ask the appropriate questions and perform the proper test before using this drug.  This violates our Civil Rights!!Our Human Rights!!! Demand to STOP THE USE OF KETAMINE or ANY USE OF MEDICATION USED DURING AN ARREST in Colorado or any STATE before this drug compromises someone else’s health or even lead to death due to a Police Officer requesting it during an arrest.

Please see video with Elijah McClain’s last words, and being injected with 500mg of Ketamine.

Elijah’s McClain’s Last Words:

I can’t breathe. I have my ID right here. My name is Elijah McClain. That’s my house. I was just going home. I’m an introvert. I’m just different. That’s all. I’m so sorry. I have no gun. I don’t do that stuff. I don’t do any fighting. Why are you attacking me? I don’t even kill flies! I don’t eat meat! But I don’t judge people, I don’t judge people who do eat meat. Forgive me. All I was trying to do was become better. I will do it. I will do anything. Sacrifice my identity, I’ll do it. You all are phenomenal. You are beautiful and I love you. Try to forgive me. I’m a mood Gemini. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. Ow, that really hurt. You are all very strong. Teamwork makes the dream work. Oh, I’m sorry I wasn’t trying to do that. I just can’t breathe correctly.
