NO MORE WAITING 5-10 YEARS FOR A CURE/VACCINE THAT WORKS BUT IS DELAYED BY THE FDA!! It's vital to move quickly on cures and vaccines because our community and citizens rely on them. I'm a 19-year-old college student who supports the bill called the Promising Pathway Act. This bill needs to be signed and implemented as soon as possible!!

What Caused Me To Advocate This Bill?: In October of 2020, my uncle died as a result of Covid-19. My family and I were heartbroken since he had been doing so well before catching covid. He passed just two months before the vaccine was made available to the public. All I can think about is how if he had fought for another two months, he would still be with us today. I'm certain there are hundreds of thousands of other people who have had a similar experience as mine. Given Covids huge mortality toll in the United States, we've lost loved ones because they didn't have the opportunity to obtain a vaccination. They created this vaccine in under a year. The FDA expedited the Covid vaccination, so why not expedite other vaccines and cures? The sooner the better, right?!! This is what drew my attention to the bill in the first place. More cures/vaccines must be developed quickly since many people's lives are at stake!! We don't have time to wait ten years or more for a cure or vaccination for a disease!! Now is the time to demand change!

How The FDA Is Slowing Down The Process: Doctors looking to test a novel medication first find research in laboratories. Animals are then used to test the medication to see if it is safe and effective. If the animals exhibit promising results, clinical trials will be conducted. Following these tests, the process begins to slow down. The FDA requires a drug to go through three or more phases before it can be sold to the general public. Combined these stages could take up to 6-7 years on average, which is excessive. People cannot afford to wait 6-7 years. The FDA must also evaluate the drug again, which could take more months or even years to complete, before issuing the product. This is just time-consuming, and it merely adds to the amount of money the FDA must come up with. As a result, not only will we benefit from this process, but so will the FDA.

How It Could Impact You: Are you a citizen living with an incurable disease? If that's the case, I'm sure you've seen research articles online that detail how "promising" a study is but claim it won't see the market for another 8+ years. DON'T WAIT ANY LONGER!!! We have the freedom and right to experiment with these vaccinations and cures. Why wait if it has been proved to be safe and effective??? HELP individuals with ALS, Alzheimer's, HIV/AIDS, Herpes, Cancer, Leukemia, Sickle Cell Disease, and other diseases to be cured/vaccinated. We have the evidence, therefore let's get it to mankind. We underestimate the number of people who are sad and contemplate suicide. These are the folks that are eager to participate in the studies because they want a better life! Let's start now, not later!!!! Who’s with me?!!!!!!

TIME TO CURE THE HUMAN RACE OF ALL DISEASES!!

STOP NORMALIZING THAT THESE DISEASES DON’T HAVE CURES IF RESEARCH PROVES OTHERWISE!!
