The ATF previously approved the use of arm brace style stocks on rifles with barrels shorter than 16 inches, but as of 1/13/2023, the AG has said these rifles and pistols will need to be registered as short barreled rifles under the NFA. Without compliance, this will make almost 40 million rifles illegal and their owners subject to a fine of up to $250, 000!
