Melton West Primary School is in desperate need of a gymnasium.

As the school population reaches over 600 students by the end of 2015, there is still no plans for a gym or a hall where the school cohort can hold assemblies and special events, out of the weather. It is important for local communities such as ours to be able to gather together but when we don't have a gym, special events such as the school concert and the school fete, either need to be held outside or at another school (at an additional cost to us).

Community engagement is a vital ingredient for our school and a gymnasium will strength the relationships we currently have within our community whilst also making new ones.

Many nearby schools already have these facilities. Why is Melton West missing out?
