Hello all, Baroness Joan Walmsley, who is vice chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Children, was in York on Friday, and heard about our campaign to save what she called a "visionary" centre. She said: "I got an indication of the strength of feeling about the place from a petition signed by 1,000 people." We are delighted so many of you have signed the petition, and we have now reached well over 1500 names. How can YOU help? There is still time to register to speak at the Council's 'Calling In' meeting on FRIDAY 31st OCTOBER at 5pm. All you need to do is register with CYC's Democratic Services and you will be given up to 3 mins to give them your views about this important service. You need to do this before 5pm on THURSDAY 30th OCTOBER by phoning 01904 552062 or by emailing jill.pickering@york.gov.uk And of course, if you don't want to speak- but do want to show your support, you can attend the meeting.
