JLR have now released an extended warranty for steering racks in the U.K. for all affected models. Providing the vehicle meets the criteria that it is under 150k miles and under 10 years old. Although this is a positive step and will help owners who may have experienced failure with the cost of repair now being taken care of by JLR, it still isn’t good enough and does nothing to remedy the safety concern still present with these vehicles. A full recall is the only sensible solution.
