The race is hotting up. Please ask all your associates to sign or chip in to get exposure to a wider audience. We need only 500 signatures to get to 10,000.

English must be given recognition as an official language in majority use.

Te Reo was recognised as an official language of New Zealand in 1987, and NZSL (NZ Sign Language) achieved the same status in 2006. There is currently no legislation that recognises English as an official language. English must be given recognition as an official language in majority use.

Maori (Te Reo) is rapidly replacing English in many every day contexts.

I rang a school on Thursday to report a potentially life threatening action that I had witnessed.I listened to three sentences in Te Reo before I found out if I even had the right school.

Language is communication. When communication does not occur because the hearer does not recognize the words then communication is lost.
