Recently, Joshua Marhanka stated on television that he saw a white male subject leaving the Morgan residence the morning of Casey Morgan's homicide, entering a truck and taking off. This statement was falsely backed up by detective Ben Parks during the course of the interview. During the investigation in 2007, Marhanka stated that he left his residence the day before Casey's murder and returned the day after. Detectives failed to verify his alibi in 2007, regardless of the fact that he had history with Casey Morgan. Marhanka was on parole at the time of Casey's murder, has a long history of domestic abuse, harassment, burglary, unlawfully entering the homes of multiple people, peeping tom, and more recent allegations of child sexual abuse and yet investigators failed to even take a second look at him.
