We've watched the number count go up one by one in the last two weeks, yet tonight it jigged over that much faster on the final stretch to 1000. And now it's time to celebrate our achievement.

In the first two weeks since this petition started on 27 July 2018, the numbers were going up much faster, as the "die-hard" fans stood up to be counted on this petition. There was a bit of an expected lull around the 800s, but in the end we got here. Like we knew we would.

What's next, you ask.

First of all there's the "official" tweet we have to send to Izzy. It's the only way we have to reach him. A big old public tweet. That you can like, reply to and retweet to your heart's content. Go ahead and look for it pinned to my feed at @TriniBoogie.

We also have a press release all set to send out to music journalists all over the world - perhaps they will even mention us in a story!

The petition will remain open for awhile, until it starts dragging again, and then it might be best to close up shop.

Who knows when or how Izzy will respond, if he ever will. We started this thing rolling, and now the ball is in his court. All we can do is wait, and hope for an announcement soon.

Thank you once again to the many members of Team Izzy, not least of all the 2000 or so members of the Izzy Stradlin Fans group on Facebook, who carried their social promotion duties over to Twitter and Instagram and made sure we were up to date and trending (at least in the UK) every single day.
