Medical assistants are the back bone of any medical office yet our wages are the lowest on the totem pole. How do the corporations expect us to survive in a rising economy with our base pay in the United States at $14 an hour? If the corporations aren’t going to take any actions to pave a path for us Medical Assistants then we need to stand up and unite together and take action. 

How does job security sound? How does higher wages sound? How does a pension and retirement benefits sound? Medical Assistants unionizing will finally give us the voice that we deserve in this growing industry. Unionizing will give us the financial stability that I’m sure all of us yearn for. If be ban together and finally stand up to be recognized for all the hard work we put in daily, we will be able to create a safe place for us Medical Assistants.
