It's High time where Both the Houses of Parliment pass Laws for Mens Rights

The Issue

In 2024, the fight for gender rights continues, with the gender of "Men" often being overlooked. Back in the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and beyond, women faced limited options, lack of opportunities, and little say in relationships. However, it is important to recognize that many countries, including India, were politically unstable during those times. Men often discouraged women from working or leaving their homes to protect their honor, safety, and prevent crime.

India's legal system has faced criticism for being biased against men in family law matters such as marriage, divorce, and child custody. While laws exist to protect women's rights, there is an ongoing debate about the fairness of legal provisions for men.

Concerns have also been raised about laws regarding marital property rights, which some believe favor women disproportionately. In cases of divorce, women may be entitled to a share of their husband's property, while men may not have the same rights to their wife's assets. Men today face challenges in marriages, especially during divorce proceedings where the financial burden often falls solely on them.

There is a lack of laws in India to protect men from false accusations, divorce, rape cases, and dowry-related issues. While families welcome daughters-in-law as part of their own, disputes can lead to men losing their homes, which their fathers worked hard to build, based on a single false allegation.

It is also worth noting that if a woman has an extramarital affair and becomes pregnant, her legal husband is still responsible for the child, even if it is not biologically his. In conclusion, fairness and rationality should guide legal and societal norms.

Furthermore, there are instances of spurious alimony claims where an educated wife demands maintenance fees. In today's society, where women often earn as much as or more than men in certain cases, it is perplexing for a wife to pursue financial support from her husband.

The funds owned by the wife rightfully belong to her, just as the husband's finances are also considered jointly shared. It is now the year 2024, yet we lack adequate laws to safeguard the rights of men. Shouldn't there be a provision for a "Fair Divorce" without compensation? Men deserve equal consideration for the emotional distress and financial burdens they endure during such proceedings.

I earnestly call upon all citizens of India to advocate for the implementation of impartial and equitable laws.

It is imperative to legalize prenuptial agreements in order to preserve the well-being of men, women and marriages, prioritizing values such as love, respect, and care over materialistic interests.

Women have always been respected, loved & taken care both legally & morally. Its high time that Men too get the same care, love, affection & Equality in Justice.
